Refined Elegance in Hand-painted Kyoto Pottery
This matcha bowl is a graceful example of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery from Kyoto, Japan, admired for its delicate hand-painted design and warm, natural tone.
Each brushstroke reflects the painter’s refined sensibility, capturing the serene beauty of Kyoto’s traditional aesthetics.
The smooth, softly curved shape—crafted on the potter’s wheel—beautifully showcases the Iroe (colored overglaze) technique inherited by Jyosui Kato, one of Kyoto’s most respected ceramic artists.

Enjoy the Seasons in Every Sip
Perfect for both formal tea ceremonies and peaceful moments at home, this handmade Kyoto ceramic bowl brings the changing seasons of Japan to life through the art of tea.
Its subtle, calming design adds an elegant accent to your space, inviting you to slow down and enjoy each moment.
The gentle form fits comfortably in your hands, making it an ideal companion for matcha, green tea, or simply as a beautiful interior piece to appreciate every day.

The Artistry of Hand-painted Kyoto Ware
Jyosui Kato carries forward the artistic spirit of Edo-period Kyoto pottery, blending natural motifs with the timeless elegance of traditional Japanese ceramics.
Delicate lines and soft colors depict flowers and auspicious patterns, expressing a sense of harmony and refinement rooted in Kyoto’s cultural legacy.
This carefully handcrafted bowl embodies the essence of traditional Japanese pottery—a heartfelt and sophisticated gift handmade in Kyoto.
