Elegant Hand-painted Matcha Bowl from Kyoto
This handmade Kyoto matcha bowl showcases exquisite hand-painting in the Iroe (colored overglaze) style, a traditional technique passed down through generations of Kyoto artisans. Its refined patterns and radiant gold accents highlight the depth of Japanese craftsmanship.
Each stroke reveals the artistry of Jyosui Kato, who carries forward the sophisticated aesthetic of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware, expressing Kyoto’s elegance through form and color.
Shaped on the potter’s wheel, the bowl’s smooth, gentle curves are enhanced by delicate overglaze work that captures the harmony of tradition and artistry unique to Kyoto pottery.

Celebrate the Seasons with Timeless Elegance
Perfect for a traditional tea ceremony or for enjoying a quiet cup of matcha at home, this Kyoto ceramic bowl adds a graceful touch to your daily tea ritual.
Its luxurious design and brilliant gold detailing make it equally beautiful as a display piece, inviting calm and seasonal harmony into any space.
The comfortable shape and subtle texture of this handcrafted Japanese bowl bring warmth and tranquility to every moment.

The Art of Kyoto Overglaze Painting
Jyosui Kato continues the aesthetic of Edo-period Kyoto ceramics, skillfully combining natural motifs and auspicious symbols with soft colors and elegant brushwork.
Each piece embodies the serene beauty of Japanese art, expressed through the balance of precision and spontaneity in hand-painting.
This hand-painted Kyoto matcha bowl makes a memorable gift from Japan—perfect for tea enthusiasts, collectors, or anyone who values the harmony of tradition and craftsmanship.
