Graceful Hand-painted Design from Kyoto
This matcha bowl from Kyoto, Japan exemplifies the refined beauty of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery. Its hand-painted floral motif, full of seasonal charm, reflects the traditional elegance of Kyoto craftsmanship.
Each brushstroke carries the painter’s delicate sensibility, evoking the subtle atmosphere of Kyoto. The gentle curves shaped on the potter’s wheel highlight the Iroe (colored overglaze) technique perfected by Jyosui Kato, a master of traditional Japanese ceramics.

Tea Moments that Reflect the Seasons
Perfect for both formal tea gatherings and quiet moments at home, this handmade Kyoto ceramic bowl brings a touch of spring’s warmth to your tea ritual.
Even when displayed, it adds a gentle harmony to any room, allowing you to sense the changing seasons of Japan through its presence.
Its smooth, elegant form rests comfortably in your hands — an ideal vessel for enjoying matcha or green tea in a calm and mindful way.

The Beauty of Kyoto Hand-painted Ceramics
Jyosui Kato continues the artistic tradition of Edo-period Kyoto pottery, preserving its naturalistic style and gentle expressiveness.
Through fine brushwork and soft, layered colors, he portrays flowers and auspicious motifs that celebrate the harmony of nature — a hallmark of traditional Japanese pottery.
This handcrafted matcha bowl, filled with the artisan’s care and precision, makes a timeless and heartfelt gift from Kyoto.

Owner's Comment
The hand-painted Fukujusō (Adonis flower), a symbol of early spring, adds a soft and joyful touch to this elegant bowl.
The slender, slightly tapered shape fits naturally in your hands, offering both balance and refinement.
Its gentle impression makes it a perfect companion for celebrating the beginning of a new season with tea.
