Elegant Kyoto Matcha Bowl with Hand-painted Hina Dolls
This matcha bowl, carefully hand-painted in Kyoto, Japan, embodies the timeless artistry of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery. The charming Hina doll motif adds a gentle touch of spring, reflecting the warmth and grace of the season.
Each brushstroke conveys the artisan’s delicate sensibility, expressing the refined aesthetics of Kyoto’s long-standing ceramic tradition.
The smooth, softly curved form—shaped on the potter’s wheel—highlights the mastery of the Iroe (colored overglaze) technique inherited by Jyosui Kato, one of Kyoto’s leading ceramic artists.
