飽くなき釉薬探求

京都・京北の里山に工房を構える和泉良法さんは、50年以上にわたり釉薬研究を続けています。

京都市立工業試験場で培った知識を土台に、焼成温度、釉薬の配合、炎の当たり方による変化を細かく検証しながら、独自の窯変表現を追求してきました。

和泉さんの作品は、単なる偶然性だけに頼るのではなく、長年蓄積されたデータと経験の上に成り立っています。

それでもなお、窯の中では予測を超えた変化が起こり、一つとして同じ景色にはなりません。

炎が生み出す美しい色彩

和泉さんが手がける天目や青瓷の作品には、焼成によって生まれる複雑な色彩の変化が現れます。

釉薬が流れることで生まれる深いグラデーションや、鉱物成分の反応による繊細な窯変は、まるで自然現象のような表情を見せます。

和泉さんの器は、作品性の高さを持ちながらも、日常の中で使うことを大切にして制作されています。

長年にわたり酒器、湯呑、抹茶碗など幅広い器を手がけてきた経験から、口当たりや持ちやすさ、使い心地にも細やかな配慮が施されています。

静かな存在感を持ちながら、料理や飲み物を引き立てる。使うたびに釉薬の表情や光の変化を楽しめる器です。

焼成によって現れる青や銀の光彩が美しい「流星」シリーズの汲出碗です。

光の当たり方や見る角度によって表情が変化し、流れるような釉薬の景色を楽しめます。

一点ごとに異なる窯変の表情も魅力で、お茶の時間を静かに彩ってくれる作品です。
