Terms of service
This Terms of Service agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") defines the conditions for using the online shop (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by KOTOPOTTER (hereinafter referred to as "our site"). All users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") agree to these terms and use the Service in accordance with them.
Article 1 (Membership)
“Member” refers to an individual who applies for membership following the procedures specified by our site and agrees to this Agreement. “Member Information” refers to information regarding member attributes and transaction history disclosed by the member to our site. This Agreement applies to all members and must be observed during registration and after membership is granted.
Article 2 (Registration)
Customers who agree to this Agreement and complete the membership application process will become members after completing the prescribed registration procedure. The registration must be done by the applicant themselves; proxy registrations are not allowed. During registration, please carefully read the instructions and accurately enter all required information. Special characters, old kanji, and Roman numerals cannot be used and will be replaced by our system if entered.
Passwords must be used solely by the member and cannot be transferred or lent to others. Members are responsible for managing their passwords and should change them periodically to ensure security. Any actions taken using the password are considered as performed by the member, and any resulting obligations are the sole responsibility of the member.
Article 3 (Changes to Member Information)
Members must promptly notify our site of any changes to their registered information such as name or address. We are not liable for any damages resulting from failure to update such information. Even if updated, transactions already processed before the change will proceed based on the previous information.
Article 4 (Membership Cancellation)

Article 5 (Loss of Membership and Liability for Damages)
We reserve the right to revoke membership if false information was provided during registration, if payment obligations are neglected, or if we deem the member inappropriate for any reason. If a member engages in any of the following prohibited acts, they shall be liable for compensating our site for any resulting damages:
- Unauthorized use of member ID or password
- Altering information on our website or sending harmful programs that interfere with our business operations
- Infringement of intellectual property rights of products handled by our site
- Any other actions that violate this Agreement
Article 6 (Handling of Member Information)
As a general rule, we do not disclose member information to third parties without prior consent. However, we may do so in the following cases:

- When deemed necessary to protect our rights, interests, or reputation
We manage member information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may use member information to provide services, improve content, promote usage, and ensure the proper operation of the Service. We may also send newsletters or advertisements to members. If a member wishes to opt out, they may notify us following the prescribed method. However, essential service communications cannot be opted out of.
Article 7 (Prohibited Actions)

- Damaging the rights or reputation of our site or any third party
- Engaging in acts contrary to public order or morals
- Harassing or disturbing other users or third parties
- Submitting false information

Article 8 (Service Suspension or Interruption)

We do not guarantee that emails or content from our website are free of viruses or harmful elements. We also disclaim responsibility for any damages resulting from violations of this Agreement by members.
Article 11 (Revisions to the Agreement)
We reserve the right to revise or supplement this Agreement at any time. Revisions or supplements take effect when posted on our designated website. Members agree to comply with the revised or supplementary terms.
Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the location of our site's headquarters as the court of first instance.
