Founded in 1917 (Taisho 6), Shunzan Kiln is a renowned Kyoto-based pottery workshop specializing in handmade Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware ceramics. The kiln preserves traditional Japanese ceramic techniques while incorporating contemporary sensibilities, creating pieces that reflect the rich heritage of Kyoto's ceramic craftsmanship.

This piece is a faithful reproduction of the famous Kutani ware by the Edo-period master, Ogata Kenzan, and embodies the spirit of traditional Japanese pottery.

Ogata Kenzan, known as a master potter of the Edo period, is celebrated as the founder of Kiyomizu-ware. This "Kenzan reproduction" brings his masterpieces back to life through the artistry of modern Kyoto ceramic craftsmanship.

Shunzan Kiln has perfected this "Kenzan reproduction," showcasing their dedication to traditional ceramic techniques and high-quality craftsmanship.

Bring a touch of luxury and traditional Japanese beauty to your table with these modern interpretations of historical ceramics.

The subtle color tones beautifully complement the white cherry blossoms on this handmade ceramic piece.

With its slightly deeper design, this traditional piece can also be used as a serving bowl for stews or salads, bringing an elegant touch to your dining experience.
