Owner's Comment

This is Shunzan Kiln's "Matsu no Zu" matcha bowl, featuring an impressively bold, carved form.

The strong pine tree, dynamically depicted across the entire bowl, is striking with its vibrant green and expansive brushstrokes. Gold accents are applied in places, further enhancing the presence of the pine.

The pine has long been a traditional auspicious motif symbolizing longevity and prosperity. This bowl is a masterpiece from Shunzan Kiln, where a powerful form harmonizes with dynamic painting, giving it a strong presence.
