Playful Colors Born in a Quiet Kyoto Kiln
Near Kanshuji Temple in Kyoto lies Dainichi Kiln, a small family-run pottery studio.
Artist Yotaro Takemura, together with his father Shigeo, continues the tradition of Kiyomizu-yaki while embracing freedom of expression and playful creativity.
Each piece is carefully handmade in their serene mountain workshop, resulting in pottery that feels at home in daily life while carrying the spirit of Japanese art.

Vivid Gradients with a Touch of Playfulness
The Yudeisai series is instantly recognizable with its bold, playful colors inspired by pop art and graffiti.
Using a unique air-spray glazing technique, layers of glaze overlap to create fine patterns and striking color transitions. No two pieces are alike — each one is a joyful expression of handmade Kyoto pottery.

Everyday Art for the Modern Table
More than just tableware, the Yudeisai series adds rhythm and personality to any meal. These ceramics highlight both Japanese and Western dishes, transforming ordinary dining into a delightful, artful experience.
Casual yet refined, each piece carries the warmth of handcraft. A perfect gift or a unique addition to your own home collection of Japanese ceramics.

Owner’s Comment
With its beautiful gradient colors and glossy handle, this pouring vessel looks like a piece of ceramic art.
Durable and versatile, it can be enjoyed with sake (chilled or warm), as well as loose-leaf teas such as Chinese tea.
A piece that embodies both functionality and artistry — true Kyoto craftsmanship brought into daily life.
