A Vessel That Lets You Enjoy the Expressions of Nature in Everyday Life

Vessels from Dainichi Kiln allow you to enjoy the natural expressions created by glazes made from natural materials in your daily life.

Not only when in use, but even when simply placed on a table or shelf, they have a modest and calming presence that gently softens the atmosphere.

They are not flashy, but the more you use them, the more their quiet charm gradually reveals itself.

These are vessels that quietly accompany your everyday life.

Rich Variations of Ash Glazes Born from Plants

At Dainichi Kiln, original ash glazes are created using the ashes of various plants, carefully blended in their own way.

The expressions of the glazes, born from differences in the materials, each have their own depth and convey the warm, tactile quality unique to ceramics.

While making the most of natural materials, they also place great importance on ease of use as everyday vessels.

This sense of balance is one of the defining characteristics of Dainichi Kiln’s work.

Scenes Unique to Ceramics, Shaped by Subtle Conditions

Slight differences in glaze composition or variations in temperature inside the kiln subtly change the final appearance of each piece.
Even when they share the same general direction, each piece ends up with its own delicate differences—this is one of the true pleasures of ceramics.

The expressions that emerge from the interplay of intention and chance give each vessel a quiet sense of depth.

A Quiet Workshop Facing Nature

Dainichi Kiln is located in a tranquil environment surrounded by trees.
Inside the workshop, a wide variety of ash glazes are prepared, and each piece is created with sincere attention to the materials.

Making use of the power of nature while ensuring that each piece works beautifully as a practical vessel.
The steady accumulation of this approach is what gives Dainichi Kiln’s work its distinctive presence.
