Near Kanshuji Temple in Kyoto, you will find Dainichi Kiln, a family-run pottery studio.
Created by Yotaro Takemura together with his father Shigeo, their work carries on the Kiyomizu-yaki tradition while fitting seamlessly into modern living.
Each piece is carefully handmade in their quiet mountain workshop, using natural glazes and traditional craftsmanship — the true spirit of Kyoto pottery.
A Blue Gradient Like Sky and Ocean
The signature Hekiyu (blue glaze) series is striking for its pure, flowing shades of blue, as if capturing the sky and sea.
