The Harmony of Nature and Craft
A One-of-a-Kind Tenmoku Masterpiece

In a quiet countryside workshop nestled in northern Kyoto, ceramic artist Yoshinori Izumi devotes himself to the art of handmade Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware.
Using a glazing technique uniquely his own, Izumi creates Tenmoku cups of breathtaking depth and character—each one a singular expression of craft and nature.
These pieces are shaped by subtle changes in kiln temperature and mineral interactions during firing. No two are alike. Each is an irreplaceable work of art, born from chance and expertise.

Carefully selected clay and glaze materials combine to form striking color gradients that reveal new nuances with every use.
The vivid luster and complex textures reflect decades of experience and a tireless spirit of exploration—hallmarks of Yoshinori Izumi’s ceramic artistry.

Owner's Comment
Each Tenmoku sake cup reveals a completely unique expression—capturing the essence of ceramic art.
Its vivid coloration is a result of glaze reactions, not surface treatments, so the brilliance will never fade or deteriorate over time.
Presented in a hand-signed wooden box by the artist, it makes a meaningful gift for someone truly special.
