Owner’s Comment

This exquisite hexagonal plate is a reproduction of Ogata Kenzan’s “Peony” design from the Edo period, originally inspired by the work of his brother, Ogata Korin.

The piece captures the dignified grace of the Rimpa school — refined brushwork, restrained tones, and a composed form that exudes quiet sophistication.

Perfect not only for Japanese cuisine but also for appetizers or sweets, this Kiyomizu-ware ceramic adds a touch of artistry and poise to any table setting.
