Enjoy Everyday Moments with Your Favorite Cup

Treasure the Simple Joys of Daily Life.

These cups are handcrafted by Miyuki Matoba of nagusa, a pottery studio in Yamashina, Kyoto. She named her studio “nagusa,” meaning “nameless grass,” to express her wish to create pottery that blends naturally into daily life.

The result is a pair of cups full of warmth and charm, perfect for enjoying drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

Annan Bird white cup - handmade Kyoto pottery by Miyuki Matoba

The Annan style, originating from Vietnam, is known for its soft, expressive finishes. Each piece shows unique blurring and subtle changes in color, highlighting the beauty of handmade Japanese ceramics. After carving fine lines, gosu (blue pigment) is applied, giving the design a gentle and inviting character.
