Kiyomizu Ware Tea Ceramics by Kaifū Yagi
Crafted in Yamashiro, Kyoto—an area close to Uji and deeply rooted in Japanese tea culture—this matcha bowl is created by Kaifū Yagi, a kiln master dedicated to traditional tea ceramics from Japan.
Its precise form and refined silhouette reflect years of handmade craftsmanship, shaped with a deep understanding of Kyoto pottery and the aesthetics of tea.
Hand-Painted Details, Each One Unique
Each matcha bowl is finished by hand, with subtle variations in brushwork and spacing that give every piece its own distinct character.
No two bowls are exactly alike—this individuality is a defining quality of handmade ceramic art and part of the joy of choosing a piece that feels personal.
Practical Elegance for Tea Time
From the depth of the bowl to the comfort of the rim and the balance in hand, every detail is thoughtfully shaped with everyday use in mind.
Suitable for both regular practice and relaxed daily tea moments, this bowl quietly enhances the experience of preparing and enjoying matcha.

Owner’s Comment
Shippo motifs and floral patterns are rendered in refined gold over a vivid red ground. The glossy red glaze beautifully highlights the deep green of matcha, while the gold detailing brings the overall design into elegant balance. A versatile matcha bowl that allows you to enjoy the harmony between tea and ceramic throughout the seasons.
