Owner’s Comment
This matcha bowl is decorated with the traditional motif of Fukiyose, depicting autumn leaves and seeds swept together by the wind.
In Japanese aesthetics, Fukiyose symbolizes the abundance of autumn and the beauty of nature’s fleeting transitions.
The warm texture of handmade pottery, combined with its calm autumn palette, conveys a quiet, seasonal elegance.
The glossy surface and raised slip-trailing (itchin) technique highlight the flowing movement of scattered leaves.
A poetic seasonal creation by Ichinyo Yamamoto, this Kyoto pottery bowl beautifully captures the spirit of autumn.
