Renowned for vibrant expression and refined technique, he creates each bowl as if it were a piece of art, blending tradition and individuality.
A special bowl that elevates everyday tea moments—perfect as a personal treasure or as a memorable gift for someone important.

The Brilliance of Kōchi Glaze
The most captivating feature of this bowl is its luminous, translucent colors.
It is finished with Kyoto’s distinctive Kōchi glaze, giving the piece an elegance found only in this traditional technique.
The raised frames around the motifs are carefully applied by hand, showcasing the artistry of handmade Japanese ceramics. The result is a refined and distinguished work.

Blending decades of expertise with sophisticated design, this matcha bowl stands as a true masterpiece of Kyo ware and Kiyomizu ware. It embodies the enduring spirit of traditional Japanese pottery.
Ideal for Japanese tea ceremonies, refined daily rituals, or as a striking decorative piece that enriches your living space.

Owner’s Comment
This elegant matcha bowl features cranes gracefully in flight across a soft blue background.
The imagery evokes cranes soaring through the morning sky, bringing a fresh and uplifting impression.
The glossy finish and raised slip-trailing (itchin) technique highlight the refined form of the cranes.
Auspicious symbols of longevity and good fortune, the cranes make this handmade Kyoto pottery bowl a truly celebratory piece by Ichinyo Yamamoto.
