A Charming Small Plate You'll Love Using Every Day
Experience the Beauty of Kyoto Pottery
From Nagata Studio in Kyoto’s serene Kyotanba region, master potter Takuro Nagata, with over 50 years of experience, introduces this delightful small plate. Reflecting the elegance of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware, it’s a perfect blend of artistry and practicality.
This small plate is ideal for enhancing your everyday dining moments.

Each plate is created using the traditional "press mold" technique, where clay is carefully shaped by hand. This labor-intensive method results in unique textures and highlights the artisanal craftsmanship.
The preserved fingerprints and subtle irregularities add character to each piece, making every plate truly one of a kind.

Made from carefully selected porcelain, this plate has a translucent quality and a refined finish. It is fired at high temperatures for durability, ensuring it will be a timeless addition to your collection.
Its versatile size makes it perfect for serving small appetizers, desserts, or snacks.

The hand-painted plum blossom motif, symbolizing renewal and hope, is crafted by Nagata’s wife, a former artisan in Kyoto’s renowned Yuzen dyeing tradition. Her delicate brushwork in soft indigo tones brings a sense of harmony and understated beauty to each piece.
This small plate is an excellent representation of Kyo-ware, combining functionality and artistic elegance to delight pottery enthusiasts and collectors alike.
