Realistic yet charming, these pieces bring joy to your dining table.
Takunobu Sawada runs his pottery studio in Nantan City, Kyoto, a region that preserves the beauty of rural landscapes.
This series features realistic yet warm and inviting animal illustrations, all crafted by Sawada.
Each piece is carefully shaped by hand and finished with a smooth, milky-white glaze, which gives it a traditional, ceramic texture.

The animal illustrations are not painted but instead carved into the clay, giving each piece a unique texture and warmth.
Takunobu Sawada, the son of a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-ware potter, has had a strong passion for ceramics since childhood. Now in his 30s, he has 20 years of experience and is considered a skilled artisan.
With youthful creativity and masterful techniques, Sawada’s pottery is full of originality. We invite you to experience his one-of-a-kind pieces.
