Gorgeous works imbued with the tradition of Kyo-yaki ware

Yutaka Takeuchi is an artist who creates using traditional techniques of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki ware, such as Kochi (cloisonné), sometsuke (underglaze blue), and ittchin-mori (slip-trailing).

His work is characterized by vibrant colors, lustrous textures, and meticulously applied decorations down to the finest details. While inheriting traditional techniques, he expresses his unique worldview through accessible and playful designs.

Rich expression born from masterful techniques

By combining various techniques, such as the vibrant colors unique to Kochi ware and the ittchin technique of drawing patterns with raised lines, he creates expressions with profound depth.

Each piece is finished by hand, reflecting years of cultivated skill and the artist's dedication.

Enjoy Kyoto's craftsmanship

Yutaka Takeuchi's vessels are glamorous yet easy to incorporate into daily life.

They add color to your dining table or tea time, allowing you to appreciate the charm of Kyoto's craftsmanship with every use.

The intricate designs, filled with delicate brushwork, are glamorous yet harmonious, conveying the elegant dignity characteristic of Kyo-yaki ware.

It is easy to use as a serving plate or a dessert plate, and its strong presence ensures that the beauty of the vessel is not diminished even when food is arranged on it.
