A Clean Form Designed for Ease of Use
A wide, open rim and a straight cylindrical body create a balanced and practical shape.
The subtly raised foot tightens the silhouette and gives the bowl a refined appearance.
Rather than decorative painting, the design highlights the natural expression of the glaze itself.
The quiet form and texture allow the bowl to blend naturally into both traditional tea rooms and modern living spaces.
Fired at high temperatures, this durable ceramic matcha bowl is well suited for everyday use.

The Design Philosophy of QUTOTEN
This matcha bowl was created based on the design philosophy of QUTOTEN.
Just as punctuation marks create rhythm and breathing space in writing, the concept reflects a desire to bring quiet pauses into everyday life.
The circular motif on the front expresses the central idea behind the QUTOTEN design.
Rather than relying on elaborate decoration, the focus is placed on form and function.
A bowl of Japanese ceramic tableware that naturally blends into its surroundings.

Fired by a Traditional Kyoto Kiln
This piece is produced by Touan Kiln, located near Sennyu-ji Temple in Kyoto, Japan.
Founded in 1922, the kiln continues the traditional craftsmanship of Kyoto pottery and Kiyomizu-ware.
Fired at high temperatures, the ceramic matcha bowl is durable, resistant to staining, and suitable for daily use.
Because the surface is not decorated with painted designs, the appearance remains stable and beautiful even after years of use.

For the Tea Room and Everyday Life
Its calm presence fits naturally into a traditional tea ceremony setting.
At the same time, it blends comfortably into modern homes and contemporary interiors.
Suitable not only for formal tea gatherings, but also for enjoying matcha in everyday moments.
With its practical design and refined presence, this handmade Kyoto pottery bowl also makes an excellent gift.
