  • Born in Higashiyama, Kyoto, 1935
  • Graduated from Kyoto Fushimi High School, Ceramic Arts Department (1955)
  • Studied under Seiichi Oketani I, ceramic artist of the Nitten Exhibition
  • Silver Prize, Kyoto Craft Exhibition
  • Excellence Prize, Kyoto Applied Arts Exhibition
  • Multiple awards at other Kyoto craft exhibitions
  • Selected ten times for the Japan Traditional Kinki Region Exhibition
  • Selected three times for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
