  • Graduated from Hiyoshigaoka High School, Kyoto – Department of Ceramics, 1962
  • Graduated from Ceramic Training School, 1963
  • Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute, 1965
  • Co-founded the Sumiyama Craft Village, 1969
  • First solo exhibition at Kikugaro Gallery, Kyoto, 1974
  • Certified as a Traditional Craftsman, 1992
  • Passed away, 2012

Reiko Ogura

  • Born in Sumiyama, Uji City, 1975
  • Graduated from Ritsumeikan University, Faculty of Letters, 1999
  • Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Technical School, 2000
  • Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute, 2001
  • Participated in Kyoto’s Young Artisan Overseas Program (Italy), 2004
  • Selected for the Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware Exhibition, 2014
