A message from the owner

This is Ryoji's matcha bowl, featuring Sagagiku (Saga chrysanthemum) on a soft ash glaze background.

Sagagiku is a type of classical chrysanthemum originating from Sagano, Kyoto. It is characterized by its elegant form with slender, long petals radiating outwards, and has been cherished for centuries as a flower that adorns Kyoto's autumn.

The subdued texture of the ash glaze enhances the beauty of the chrysanthemum, creating a gorgeous yet refined atmosphere. It is a bowl that evokes the charm of Kyoto.
