A Warm, Charming Moment with Mt. Fuji and Little Animals
From Studio Sakura in Seika Town, Kyoto, this handmade and hand-painted matcha bowl features Mt. Fuji and delightful animals. A lovely expression of traditional Japanese pottery and ceramic art.
Placed on your table, it feels like a small scene capturing the beauty of Japan’s four seasons.
Each bowl is individually shaped by hand by Mrs. Tomomi Ichida, a Kyoto-based artisan with over 20 years of experience, and carefully painted to show the animals joyfully playing near Mt. Fuji.
A heartwarming design that brings a gentle smile to your matcha-making moments.
A comforting piece that adds a quiet sense of warmth to your daily tea ritual.

A Gentle Scene of Mt. Fuji Surrounded by Seasonal Flowers
Up close, you’ll notice the charming detail of two animals sitting side by side, admiring Mt. Fuji framed by seasonal blossoms.
The soft blue of the mountain, the gentle colors of the flowers, and the rounded shapes of the animals—
All are painted entirely by hand, giving each bowl a warm texture and subtle expressions unique to handmade pottery.
Mrs. Ichida’s mother also supports the creation process, and the tender rhythm of their family craftsmanship can be felt in the gentle brushwork.
No two bowls are exactly alike—each one is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
A Story Unfolding Around the Bowl
On the back of the bowl, you’ll find animals playing freely among seasonal flowers, revealing a new little story with every turn.
As you rotate it, different scenes appear—
a design full of the charm of a “bowl that’s fun to turn and explore.”
The lightweight feel and softly rounded form make it pleasant to hold and perfect for everyday use.
Because each bowl is fully handmade and hand-painted, quantities are extremely limited—encountering one feels truly special.
A matcha bowl that brings a touch of storytelling and joy to your daily tea time.
