Cool and Refreshing Glass Matcha Bowl

A summer matcha bowl crafted from clear glass, with each piece carefully hand-painted one by one. The transparency of the glass enhances the painted design, creating a light and refreshing presence.

The cool texture of glass combined with handmade painting brings ease and clarity to tea moments during the warmer seasons.

Hand-Painted, One of a Kind

Each motif is painted directly onto the glass, resulting in subtle variations in brushwork and color flow.

Every bowl features a different design, allowing you to enjoy it as a truly one-of-a-kind piece of handmade Japanese pottery.

Versatile Summer Tableware

Designed for matcha, it is also ideal for serving shaved ice, fresh fruit, or chilled desserts.

Beyond tea ceremony use, this versatile bowl adds a refreshing accent to summer dining and everyday table settings.

Tea Ceramic Artist: Kaifū Yagi

Born in 1950 in Yamashiro, Kyoto, Japan.

After graduating from the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Training School, he apprenticed under first-generation ceramic artist Josui Kato.

He has long focused on traditional Kyo ware and Kiyomizu ware pottery, receiving numerous awards at major ceramic exhibitions.

In 2003, he was officially certified as a Traditional Craftsman of Kiyomizu Ware.

He continues his work at his studio in Yamashiro-Taga, Kyoto.

Owner’s Comment

Its cool, airy presence brings a pleasant sense of freshness to summer tea moments. The hand-painted design applied on the reverse side subtly shows through the glass, a quality unique to this ceramic and glass combination. Easy to use not only as a matcha bowl but also as a serving bowl, it is a versatile piece that is also well suited as a gift.
