Matcha Bowl – Spring Countryside Landscape | KOTOPOTTER

Elegant Hand-painted Matcha Bowl from Kyoto

This hand-painted matcha bowl embodies the refined beauty of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery. The gentle brushwork and warm colors evoke the peaceful charm of the Kyoto countryside in springtime.

Each stroke reflects the artist’s calm sensibility, capturing the tranquil atmosphere of blossoming cherry trees and traditional thatched-roof houses.

The softly rounded shape, formed on the potter’s wheel, highlights the delicate skill of Jyosui Kato and his mastery of the Iroe (colored overglaze) technique passed down through generations.
