Graceful Hand-painted Matcha Bowl from Kyoto
This handmade matcha bowl showcases the delicate artistry of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware, created in Kyoto, Japan. The hand-painted design depicts a peaceful child resting in a spring meadow, evoking the gentle warmth and calmness of the season.
Each brushstroke reflects the artist’s refined sensibility, harmonizing soft curves formed on the potter’s wheel with the intricate colors of Iroe (colored overglaze) — a traditional Kyoto painting technique perfected by Jyosui Kato.

Moments of Calm and Seasonal Beauty
Perfect for a traditional tea ceremony or everyday tea at home, this Kyoto ceramic bowl invites stillness and reflection with every use.
Its warm glaze and soothing colors bring serenity to any space — whether placed on a shelf as an art piece or used in your daily tea ritual.
Designed to rest comfortably in your hands, it embodies the Japanese spirit of finding peace in simplicity and nature.

The Beauty of Kyoto Overglaze Painting
Jyosui Kato continues the Edo-period Kyoto pottery tradition, interpreting natural motifs with elegant restraint and soft brushwork.
His work celebrates the essence of Japanese craftsmanship—combining serenity, warmth, and refined beauty in every detail.
This hand-painted Kyoto matcha bowl is a perfect gift for tea lovers who appreciate artistry and calm reflection.
