Reviews in Other Languages
I had been searching for a tea bowl featuring Fujin and Raijin (the gods of wind and thunder) to match my thunder-themed tea caddy.
I've always liked slip-trailing designs, but I really love the arrangement and composition of this tea bowl.
Thank you so much for this wonderful item.

Owner’s Comment
This matcha bowl is inspired by Xiwangmu, the legendary goddess of longevity in Chinese lore, who is often associated with peach blossoms.
The bowl itself is shaped to resemble a peach, a fruit traditionally revered as a symbol of long life and good fortune.
The glossy surface and raised slip-trailing (itchin) technique highlight the blossoms with depth and vitality.
A refined and auspicious creation by Ichinyo Yamamoto, this handmade Kyoto pottery bowl embodies both elegance and symbolism of longevity.
