Vessels that make the most of the natural texture of the clay

Taya Yoshiro's pottery is characterized by its simple appearance that makes use of the texture of the clay itself.

Rather than relying on decoration, the pieces are crafted with a quiet presence, valuing the colors and textures that emerge from the firing process.

The calm colors and soft texture blend naturally into your everyday dining table.

Soft shapes created by handwork

Each teacup is shaped one by one on a potter's wheel, giving it a soft outline with a slight wobble.

It feels comfortable in your hand and mouth, and you can feel the warmth that only handmade items can provide.

The understated design brings out the natural beauty of the clay and glaze.

During your everyday tea time

This teacup can be used casually for everyday tea, including sencha and bancha, as well as hojicha and Japanese tea.

The simple texture goes well with Japanese sweets and quietly enhances a relaxing tea time.

This is a piece that you will want to continue using for a long time in your daily life.

Shop owner's comment

The movement of the glaze becomes part of the scenery, giving the piece a rustic and tasteful appearance.

The elegant form was created by Taya Yoshiro, who is known as a master of the potter's wheel.

The strong texture and neat shape are in harmony, making this a bowl that is comfortable to wear even for everyday use.
