The soft appearance unique to Raku ware
Raku ware matcha bowls are vessels born from Kyoto's tea ceremony, which boasts a history of approximately 400 years.
Shaped by hand without a potter's wheel, each piece gains a natural undulation.
The soft texture, fired at low temperatures, and the warmth felt in your hands.
The evolving texture with use is also a unique charm of Raku ware.

Gentle painting with colored clay
Rakunyu matcha bowls are decorated with "nama-etsuke," a technique of painting directly onto the unfired clay.
By painting with colored clay instead of pigments, a soft, subdued color and subtle three-dimensionality are created.
This gentle painting is possible precisely because Raku ware is fired at low temperatures.
Seasonal motifs and charming designs blend naturally into tea ceremonies as well as everyday moments.

For tea ceremony and everyday tea breaks
While valuing usability as a tea utensil, it's also a bowl that can be casually enjoyed.
You can use it as a seasonal vessel when preparing matcha at home.
Not only when in use, but also when simply displayed, it adds a gentle splash of color to the space.

Comment from the Owner
This Raku ware matcha bowl features adorable long-tailed tits perched on trees, set against a pale blue background.
The soft texture and gentle colors unique to Rakunyu harmonize perfectly with the long-tailed tit's "winter fairy" vibe.
It's a piece that brings modern cuteness to traditional techniques, adding a serene touch to your tea time.
