The soft appearance unique to Raku ware

Raku ware matcha bowls are vessels born from the Kyoto tea ceremony, which has a history of approximately 400 years.
Shaped by hand without a potter's wheel, each piece has a natural, gentle undulation.

The soft texture, fired at a low temperature, and the warmth that can be felt in your hands.
The changing texture as it is used is also a charm unique to Raku ware.

For tea ceremonies and everyday tea breaks

While prioritizing ease of use as a tea utensil, it can also be enjoyed as a casual tea bowl.

You can use it as a seasonal vessel when making matcha at home.
Not only when in use, but also when simply placed, it adds a soft touch of color to your space.

A note from the owner

This is a Hakuraku matcha bowl, "Cho-nyu Utsushi" by Rakunyu, which allows you to enjoy the soft texture unique to Raku ware.

The "Cho-nyu Utsushi" is a bowl created in the style of Chonyu, the seventh generation of the Raku family. Its refined form and serene Hakuraku scenery harmonize, conveying the aesthetic sense of successive Raku families to the present day.

Its gentle color and warm texture, characteristic of Hakuraku, are appealing. This piece, which exudes a quiet dignity and is suitable for tea ceremonies, allows you to enjoy its elegant presence.
