Enjoy Everyday Moments with Your Favorite Tableware
Treasure the simple joys of daily life.
This charming set is crafted by Miyuki Matoba of nagusa, a pottery studio in Yamashina, Kyoto. She named her studio “nagusa,” meaning “nameless grass,” to express her desire to create ceramics that gently blend into everyday life.
The result is a collection of tableware filled with warmth and loveliness, perfect for daily dining.

The Annan style originates from Vietnam and is known for its soft, expressive finishes. Each piece showcases unique variations in glaze and color, highlighting the natural charm of handmade Japanese ceramics. After carving lines, the artist paints with gosu (blue pigment), creating a gentle and distinctive look.

Matoba studied fine arts at university and later trained in ceramics in Kyoto. Her bird designs, drawn with simple lines, bring a sense of peace and warmth to both teatime and mealtime.
