Timeless Heritage: A Serene Presence
Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki are the culmination of Kyoto’s rich traditional culture. Each handmade bowl carries a unique warmth and subtle "fluctuation" that only human hands can produce, adding profound depth to your quiet moments of tea. The more you use it, the more the ceramic feels like a natural extension of your hands.

For Rituals and Everyday Mindfulness
Perfect for a formal traditional tea ceremony, yet equally at home on a modern dining table. Even when not in use, its striking presence adds a refined Japanese atmosphere to your room, serving as an exquisite decorative centerpiece that celebrates seasonal beauty.

A Curated Experience by KOTOPOTTER
At KOTOPOTTER, we specialize in Kyoto-style pottery that balances high artistry with functional elegance. We invite you to begin your journey into the world of Japanese ceramics with this prestigious, handmade masterpiece.

Shop Owner’s Note
This bowl features a dramatic "Kake-wake" (split-glaze) design, boldly dividing the surface between a soft white slip and a deep black glaze. Against this striking background, delicate wisteria flowers are painted with incredible finesse.
The contrast perfectly highlights the ethereal, pale colors of the wisteria, showcasing Ryoji Nakamura’s signature sense of composition and balance. It is a powerful yet elegant piece that brings a sophisticated presence to any tea setting, celebrating the fleeting beauty of spring.
