The Distinct Color and Depth of Kōchi Decoration

The charm of this piece lies in its luminous, vibrant colors.

It showcases the unique beauty of Kyoto's traditional "Kōchi" glaze, making each bowl truly one of a kind.

The raised decorative frame surrounding the motif is applied entirely by hand, with exceptional care.

Through refined techniques and delicate craftsmanship, the result is a bowl of elegance and distinction.

This work blends seasoned skill with a sophisticated design, born of years of ceramic experience.

Owner's Comment

This elegant scene features Lady Murasaki and her daughter Daini no Sanmi, painted with delicate brushwork and framed by fluttering cherry blossoms.

Slightly compact in size, it fits gently in the hand—a lovely piece especially well-suited for women.

The graceful painting and soft colors reflect the refined aesthetic of Japanese beauty.

Absolutely exquisite! I know very little about Kyoto ceramics, and had initially eyed it for its aesthetics. Am beginning to learn the many difficult and complex elements it implemented. Honoured to own this piece by Ichinyo. Thank you Kotopotter.

I had been searching for a tea bowl featuring Fujin and Raijin (the gods of wind and thunder) to match my thunder-themed tea caddy.

I've always liked slip-trailing designs, but I really love the arrangement and composition of this tea bowl.

Thank you so much for this wonderful item.

この度はお買い求めいただきありがとうございました。
またの御利用を心よりお待ちしております。
