This is a matcha bowl by Ichinyo, featuring a deep purple Kochi glaze that is nearly black, decorated with pine-bark diamond patterns and landscape motifs.

Within each pine-bark diamond window adorning the vessel, a different seasonal landscape is minutely painted, expressing the shifting Japanese seasons. The glossy, almost black base color vividly accentuates the delicate colors spreading within the windows.

It is a bowl where you can fully enjoy the precise, detailed painting characteristic of Ichinyo, with a different scene unfolding in every tiny window.
