Hiroshi Nagamoto's pottery

In the tranquil countryside of Nantan City, Kyoto, Hiroshi Nagamoto creates beautiful Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery in his studio.

Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, showcasing the traditional pottery techniques of Kyoto that Nagamoto refined during his apprenticeship at the esteemed Wazen Tōen kiln.

The glazes are uniquely blended, resulting in rich, vibrant colors that emerge from the kiln through years of experience and artistic intuition.

This plate features a simple yet versatile design that reflects the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.

Its gentle presence complements a variety of dishes, from salads to grilled fish, while the slightly raised edges make it suitable for dishes with light sauces or dressings.

Nagamoto’s pottery honors traditional craftsmanship while fitting seamlessly into modern lifestyles, offering both functionality and timeless beauty.

Each piece reflects the heartfelt dedication and artistry that went into its creation, adding subtle charm to your dining experience.
