Hiroshi Nagamoto's pottery

In the serene countryside of Nantan City, Kyoto, Hiroshi Nagamoto crafts exquisite Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery in his workshop.

Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, showcasing the traditional pottery techniques of Kyoto that Nagamoto refined during his apprenticeship at the renowned Wazen Tōen kiln.

The unique glazes, carefully blended by hand, bring out vibrant colors through a process honed over years of experience and a keen artistic sense.

This medium-sized plate combines simplicity with the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.

Its versatile size makes it perfect for serving salads, grilled fish, or even dishes with a bit of sauce, thanks to its slightly raised edges. This thoughtful design ensures both functionality and elegance.

Nagamoto’s pottery embodies the harmony of traditional Japanese techniques and modern practicality, offering timeless pieces that elevate everyday dining experiences.

Every piece carries the story of its creation, infusing your meals with the beauty of Kyoto’s rich ceramic heritage.
