In the tranquil countryside of Nantan City, Kyoto, Hiroshi Nagamoto creates beautiful Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery at his studio.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, showcasing the traditional pottery techniques of Kyoto that Nagamoto honed during his apprenticeship at the esteemed Wazen Tōen kiln.
The glazes are uniquely blended, resulting in rich, vibrant colors that emerge from the kiln through years of experience and artistic intuition.

This large plate combines a simple yet practical design with the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.
Its gentle presence enhances any dish, from salads to grilled fish, and its slightly raised edges make it suitable for dishes with sauces or dressings.
Nagamoto’s creations honor traditional craftsmanship while fitting seamlessly into modern lifestyles, offering both elegance and functionality.
Every piece reflects the heartfelt dedication and artistry that went into its creation, bringing subtle beauty to your dining experience.

Owner's Comment
This plate is perfect for salads or grilled fish, thanks to its ideal size.
The slightly raised edges make it suitable for dishes with light sauces or dressings.
In Japanese dining, plates measuring approximately 7 inches (18 cm) are among the most versatile tableware items.
