Ikkanjin-adorned tableware to brighten your dining table

The small figure peeking gently over the rim of the dish is an "Ikkanjin."

The character "Kan" (閑) means to have peace of mind and to enjoy tranquil moments. We hope you can enjoy your meals and tea breaks even amidst a busy daily life. This is the wish behind it.

Each Ikkanjin is handmade, making it a signature design of Yutaka Takeuchi that grows more endearing each time you look at it.

 


The splendor created by Kyoto ware's traditional techniques

Yutaka Takeuchi's works are created by skillfully combining traditional Kyoto ware techniques such as Kouchi, Sometsuke, and Itchin Mori.

The dishes, adorned with vivid colors and patterns drawn with立体的に盛り上げた線 (raised lines), exude elegance despite their flamboyance. The meticulously finished decorations reflect skilled craftsmanship.

Bringing joy to everyday life

While inheriting traditional techniques, the designs are approachable and playful.

These are Yutaka Takeuchi's unique Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki, which uplift your spirits every time you use them.
