Kenji Matsuoka of Heian Rakudo operates his quiet pottery studio in Yamashina, Kyoto.
Born into a long line of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware artisans, he naturally gravitated toward working with clay, crafting pieces that blend seamlessly into everyday life.
