About the Artist
Housen Maeda
Andoku Kiln, directed by Yasunori Maeda
Born in Kyoto in 1959 as the second son of ceramic artist Masanori Maeda.
Studied pottery under his father Masanori, and sculpture under Professor Kakuji Yamamoto, honorary professor at Kyoto City University of Arts.
In 1995, became independent from Goun Maeda and established his kiln in Nishinoyama, Yamashina, Kyoto.
