Vibrant Blossoms that Adorn a Small Cup, Like a Utopian Garden

The Beauty of Tradition and the Artist's World Felt in the Palm of Your Hand

Tamie Ono (Cunyo)'s Hana Satsuma is known for its exceptional technique, featuring intricate hand-painted designs.

Traditional motifs and flowers are delicately hand-painted across these pieces, which can easily fit in the palm of your hand.

Each design is unique, making every piece a one-of-a-kind creation.

The hand-painting is so meticulously done that it’s hard to believe it was created by human hands.

The brilliant colors and the stunning fusion of gold and platinum accents make each piece truly exceptional.

Because each design is carefully conceived and painted with great dedication, the number of pieces created is limited.

Tamie Ono’s work is so popular that her solo exhibitions often sell out almost immediately.

During the Meiji period (1868-1912), a type of pottery called "Kyo Satsuma" was produced in Kyoto.

At that time, it was made for export, and its delicate and luxurious designs with gold accents became its signature.

Fascinated by these lost techniques, Cunyo taught herself and successfully revived the art form.

"Hana Satsuma" respects the tradition of Kyo Satsuma while incorporating Cunyo’s unique reinterpretations, updated with modern color schemes.

Her "Hana Satsuma" collection has gained international attention from ceramic collectors, truly evoking the revival of Kyo Satsuma that crossed oceans and transcended time.

We invite you to add this pinnacle of Kyoto and Kiyomizu-ware painted ceramics to your collection.

Owner's Comment

The design of the cloud dragon, reminiscent of the traditional Japanese aesthetic of the Rimpa school, is delicately painted on the ultra-thin cup. The traditional pattern is painted all the way to the bottom of the piece, showcasing unparalleled skill.

This piece is perfect for a special gift to someone important.
