A combination of nature and skill
The unique beauty of glazes created by Izumi Ryoho

Izumi Yoshinori's works are the fruit of over half a century of glaze research.
In his studio, located in the quiet countryside of northern Kyoto, he uses unique glazing techniques to create pieces of unparalleled beauty.
Each piece has a different expression, brought about by subtle changes in temperature and differences in the ingredients of the glaze, making them truly one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

The pottery is made using clay and glazes carefully selected by Izumi, as well as state-of-the-art equipment, and each time you use it, it brings new discoveries and excitement.
The unique colors and textures are works of art unique to Izumi Ryoho, born from his many years of experience and spirit of inquiry.

Shop owner's comment
Each and every one of these crazy celadon sake cups shows a completely different expression. This is a product that is full of the charm of pottery.
The colors are produced by taking advantage of the properties of the glaze, so the beautiful colors will not fade or deteriorate.
It will be packaged in a wooden box hand-painted by the artist, making it a great gift for a special person.
