Realistic yet charming, these pieces bring joy to your dining table.
Located in the scenic rural area of Nantan City, Kyoto, Takunobu Sawada runs his pottery studio.
This series of pottery features realistic animal designs with a warm, inviting touch, crafted by Sawada.
Each piece is meticulously shaped and smoothed for ease of use, finished with a milky white glaze that showcases the characteristic texture of traditional pottery.

The animal illustrations are not painted with a brush but are instead carved into the clay, creating a unique and warm aesthetic.
Takunobu Sawada, born into a family of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-ware potters, developed a strong passion for ceramics from a young age. Now in his 30s, he has 20 years of experience in pottery, reaching the level of a seasoned artisan.
With a youthful sensibility and refined techniques, Sawada’s works embody originality and the beauty of handmade ceramics. We invite you to bring one of his pieces into your collection.
