Takunobu Sawada runs his studio in Nantan City, Kyoto, an area that preserves the original landscape of Japan's countryside.
This is the "AMI" series, featuring modern and striking designs created by Sawada.
Each piece is carefully shaped by hand, with a smooth form designed for ease of use, and a bold design featuring amber and cobalt blue patterns that emerge in a grid-like formation.

The contrast with the glossy black finish is visually striking, and the design becomes more harmonious with use, making it a truly exceptional piece.
With a father who was a ceramic artist specializing in Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware, Sawada developed a strong interest in ceramics from a young age. Now in his 30s, he has over 20 years of experience in pottery, reaching the level of a seasoned artist.
With youthful creativity and exceptional skill, Sawada produces original works that reflect Kyoto's rich pottery tradition. Add one of his creations to your collection and experience the artistry of Kyoto ceramics.
