Realistic yet charming, take a moment to relax with your favorite cup
Takunobu Sawada runs his studio in the rural region of Nantan City, Kyoto, which retains the original landscape of Japan's countryside.
This series features animal-themed pottery created by Sawada, blending realism with a touch of warmth and charm.
Each piece is meticulously shaped and carefully smoothed to be user-friendly, with a powdery white glaze typical of ceramics, showcasing a classic pottery finish.

The animal illustrations are not painted with a brush, but instead are carved into the glaze, creating a unique artistic quality and a sense of warmth.
Growing up with a father who was a ceramic artist specializing in Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware, Sawada became fascinated by pottery from an early age. In his 30s, he now has over 20 years of experience in ceramics, reaching the level of a seasoned artist.
With youthful creativity and exceptional craftsmanship, Sawada produces original pieces that reflect Kyoto's pottery heritage. Add one of his creations to your collection and enjoy the beauty of handmade ceramics.
