Kiyomizu Ware Tea Ceramics by Kaifū Yagi
Crafted in Yamashiro, Kyoto—an area close to Uji and deeply rooted in Japanese tea culture—this matcha bowl is created by Kaifū Yagi, a kiln master devoted to traditional tea ceramics from Japan.
Its well-balanced form and dignified presence reflect years of handmade craftsmanship, shaped with a deep understanding of Kyoto pottery and the aesthetics of tea.

Hand-Painted Details, Each One Unique
Each matcha bowl is carefully hand-painted, with expressive brushwork and subtle variations that give every piece its own distinct character.
No two bowls are exactly alike—this individuality is a defining quality of handmade ceramic art and part of the pleasure of choosing a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

Practical Elegance for Tea Time
From the depth of the bowl to the feel of the rim and the balance in hand, every detail is thoughtfully shaped with real use in mind.
Suitable for both practice and relaxed daily tea moments, this bowl quietly enhances the experience of preparing and enjoying matcha.

Owner’s Comment
Rich ash glaze flows generously over the surface, while gold and white cherry blossoms are painted densely across the bowl. The contrast between the bold texture of the black clay body, the movement of the glaze, and the vibrant hand-painted decoration is especially striking. A matcha bowl that fully expresses the tactile depth of ceramic art and the refined decorative beauty of Kyoto tradition.
