In the quiet Kutsukake area of Kyoto, Toukoubo Houki is a small traditional pottery studio run by ceramic artist Shoichi Houki and his wife, Yoko.

Yoko Houki's handmade ceramics are beloved for their charming appearance and the care she puts into every detail, reflecting the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.

The entire surface is decorated with floral patterns made using Mishima, a traditional Japanese technique in which designs are pressed into clay before glazing.
