Refined ceramic art that balances function and charm.
Toukoubo Houki is a small pottery studio based in Kutsukake, Kyoto, run by ceramic artist Shoichi Houki and his wife, Yoko.
Yoko Houki’s handmade ceramics are admired for their adorable aesthetic and the meticulous craftsmanship behind every piece—a wonderful expression of traditional Japanese pottery.

Modern elegance
with a nostalgic, heartwarming touch.
The floral patterns on the surface are made using Mishima, a traditional Japanese ceramic technique in which designs are pressed into the clay before glazing.
Each blossom is hand-painted with soft colors, and delicate accents of gold add a refined brilliance to the piece.
This handmade Kyoto pottery piece combines gentle sophistication and playful beauty, enriching both everyday moments and special occasions.
